Who We Are
Grace Church is a new church replanted in the soil of sacrifice.
After nearly a year of prayer and discussion, the Cookeville Freewill Baptist Church selflessly and sacrificially chose to take everything they have (people, facilities and finances) and replant it in the ground for greater impact in this community. “Unless a kernel of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed. But if it dies, it produces many seeds.” (John 12:24) Grace Church is now sprouting … a non-denominational church with a new name, mission, culture, values, staff and constitution. We want it to be a picture of what God can do when we sacrifice everything for the sake of the gospel.
Grace is more than a name
It’s about God’s grace to us … undeserved, freely-given, generous and life-changing -all because of Jesus.
It’s about our grace to each other … patient, forgiving, loving and genuine.
Our Mission
"Making Disciples Wherever, Whenever." Jesus intended His mission to be lived out everyday, everywhere which is why we focus less on mass producing disciples in a church building and more on resourcing the masses to produce disciples in their homes and community.
Our Plan
A disciple is someone who will ... belong to Jesus ... be with Jesus ... and become like Jesus in life and mission. "Belonging to" is more than believing in; "Being with" is more than knowing about; "Becoming like" is more than behaving like. It's our plan at Grace to develop relationships, rhythms and resources so that we become a community of believers authentically desiring to be disciples and make disciples wherever, whenever.
