When Jesus announces in Mark 1:15 that “The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” The Holy Spirit gives hearing and response to Jesus’ announcement and the church is birthed. It’s Jesus’ announcement of the kingdom that draws our community forward toward the day when God’s reign will be
fully established on earth again and calls us to enter into the kingdom now as God’s kingdom people. In this way, the church is a both a preview of what is to come and an agent of renewal as the eternal kingdom of God is established among us. The prayer of Habakkuk captures our heart’s desire as we anticipate the fulfillment of God’s kingdom.
“For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Brian Conover
Brian has 3 decades of experience pastoring churches in Ohio, New York and Michigan. He came to Tennessee 3 years ago with his wife, Lisa, and family to thaw out … and they never left. Brian loves God and his family. He enjoys John Deere tractors, hobby farming, hunting and football. Grace church is a fresh start for him. After 3 years of rest from pastoring and open-heart surgery, he’s renewed and ready to experience something new.
Ethan Bohannon
Ethan Bohannon is a life-long resident of this area and brings years of pastoral experience in the areas of worship and creative ministry (video, lighting, sound, streaming, etc.). He and his wife, Emily have 2 children (Ezra and Millie) and they have a big heart for fostering and adopting others. Much more than a musician and technician, Ethan is truly a pastor who loves God and loves people. Please see his attached resume` for more background on his life and ministry.
